The Brickadia CBT (Closed Beta Test) is next week, how do you think its going to perform? Do you think they added a way to dupe whole contraptions? Have they made any improvements to the vehicle physics? Are boats really that cool? What sort of new furry avatar pieces will they have added? Personally, I think its going to be the same as the demo but with boats. Im really just hoping that they added a way to dupe entire contraptions though, otherwise its another Brickadia dev moment

I think it is odd that they are doing this. I can't imagine much has changed since the previous open demo, and early access isn't intended to be a finished product. So it's like a beta for a beta. I think I would have just preferred they focused on the release of EA. The only thing I can imagine being useful out of this demo, is if they are testing network/server stuff again. If it means better networking at launch, I don't mind this weird closed beta thing.

I dont know what to think about this - another - qa thing. I dont know what qa people have been doing for theses past years, probably testing nothing. The closed qa thing showed the qa team is not very useful. And now, they need actual testers, 3 weeks before the opening. Come on. Lets say this beta thing is their first actual attempt at getting a real testing. But it is again, in _my opinion only_ of course, another meh thing from them, if they really wanted to have true testing, well, then open the beta to everyone to test, everyone will find different ways to test, and maybe find bugs. What i want them to actually test for once: - have they fixed vehicles glitches on plates like they promised it (it needed 3 good weeks to zebrelote to understand what was the issue, someone is lagging it his head) - The web sockets thing, i mean, it was unplayable. people who pretend it was fine with 30 people and no issue clearly didnt play the game. I have no issues with them testing stuff, even in a very late stage, but doing actual ostracization of players, _once more_, is very annoying. Another funny question: Will the devs select the players fairly, or will it be devs friends only again?¿

The only reason to have more applications for "closed betas" ONLY 3 WEEKS before EVERYONE CAN BUY IT ANYWAYS, is either: 1) They need more network testing, and want more people, but don't want to just touch Alpha testers as whole. Pre-select a few alpha testers just for this one task, and be done with it. 2) It won't be only 3 more weeks…… Here's all I'll say: I applied to be in the Closed Beta. If I don't get selected, they are doing a new round of nepotism/favoritism to get this. I was vocal multiple times about flaws in brickadia, the mod team, and various little things. The only reason not to have the person whose been here years, worked on many servers/omegga projects, various tinkerings over the years - the only reason not to have me would be "you wont glaze us enough even if we didn't fix much within 3 months". Which, sadly, I think will happen. There is a lot to like about the game as a whole - the problem is leadership, design choices made be individuals, and out-of-game drama.

They could just throw in some new features, let existing alpha players play around for a few weeks, then put the game on sale if everything works. You don't need flashy promotional material (save it for later) or hard "release" dates needed *if people like it and spread the word*. That they're treating things in terms of releases ("beta", "alpha", "full release") makes me suspicious about whether they're planning long-term because this is not a software product you just "finish". You're going to have to have dynamic content (mods, which didn't take priority anywhere in the last 7 years, so likely won't in the future) or a constant flow of new content and you can't just keep hyping new versions over and over. Perhaps they're afraid of not having long-term popularity (see: 7 years of on-and-off stagnation) and are trying to maximize what they can squeeze out. Imagine if Badspot said in 2007 that he's almost "finished" with the "full release" Blockland. They're just shoving in features in arbitrarily short time windows. It seems undisciplined and immature.

Queuenard That would be VERY unfortunate if they did "abandon" the game once it will be released. This is a possibility tho. I am glad at least we will have semi working vehicles. I am still angry at them for closing the alpha to people. I think thats literally the worst decision they could ever take because it just cut the game from new people, and new people to talk, bringing more new people. Theses people always take the wrongest decisions possible.

lets hope the game live and not be another forgotten dead game because of their actions.

Fingers crossed I'll get access to closed beta but i'm not like a really cool builder or anything i'm just a guy who likes bricks. I do fear the nepotism aspect though, we'll have to see shortly I suppose.. I certainly hope the game doesn't just get dropped after release. I was hoping for a lot when they essentially delayed the game 3 months after next fest, but I'm not terribly inspired but what I've seen so far. Boats and reworked wire system is neat I guess, but I don't think that was worthy of delaying 3 months. I personally don't truly understand why the game wasn't in a shippable/sellable state during nextfest but what do I know.

Im so hyped, I hope to get into the beta as well, I imagine that since its just a week that its just testing for basic stuff like seeing if the tutorial works, or how server stability is, making sure the game doesn't crash on different systems for different reasons

I'm hyped as well, but if I don't get it EA is just 15 days away so not a huge loss. I can cope.. I just dislike the idea of not being able to play with a new shiny build of Brickadia haha.

I'm glad about this transparency (better than what was 2 years ago), but realistic time-frames with leeway should have been used instead.

Immediately playing it, its just a glorified demo. Some new logic stuff (I haven't the faintest clue on logic), and a lot of the stuff they promised isn't there like the plates issue, as well as not being able to copy whole contraptions. Though they still got nearly two weeks to get that stuff in place, so we'll have to see

liljitt They said they wont fix the plate issue sadly. It will be kinda not fun to drive in my city. i will add fake plates but i cant do it for angled ramps. I suppose the will add contraptions later, its very needed

I got banned for nothing, can't play online, but they still let me into the beta lmao
Probably an accident, I got into the beta discord and it took a couple hours but they banned me there too.
The devs are going full scorched earth on anyone they don't like. I can't even appeal the ban in any way as far as im aware.
I contacting the support team via email, still waiting on a reply back, I wonder if I'll get one at all.
