I'll get the ball rolling with what I use: My primary keyboard is an AKKO JIN01 Santorini Edition. It's super solid, heavy, and has a really nice sound right out of the box. It punches well above its weight in terms of price. As an aside, I think AKKO's rosewood switches are my favorite keyboard switches right now. I really like the low profile nature of this keyboard. If you like Apple's thin keyboards I think you will like one of these as well. It can swap between up to three different computers wirelessly with a click of a button, and it's mac and windows compatible which is a big plus for me as I use Apple computers for work. I need a new mech. My Leopold recently broke. Any suggestions? Looking for high build quality and full layout. Also I usually do brown switches but would consider red for gaming, thoughts?

cutter If you're looking for something pre-built, I'd look into AKKO. I don't recommend their plastic keyboards, but if you can get something with a metal case I expect it'll be good.

Trogtor The logitech keyboard I have has one. I use that keyboard for building. My other keyboards are 65% compact keyboards that are designed without numpads.

call me old fashioned but I have a vendetta against 60% keyboards. I do have a couple myself but I only use them for portability for my steam deck & raspberry pi, but it still annoying I have no way of pressing certain keys like pageup/down.

either way I really like the last keyboard that has the colorful keys in the corners.

Trogtor Yeah I like 65% keyboard because they retain pageup and down. I've tried less than 65% keyboards and I feel I just loose too much functionality. I love how 40% keyboards look though and I wish I could like using one lol.

I have a IBM model F122 with modified keys, i use it all the time to play brickadia lol. I absolutely need the numpad. Same as this one but i have some custom made colored keys. it fits my computer case, which is a giant server case (around 30kg/67lbs)

i have a standard model M that i will use occasionally for work, but beyond that i simply cannot use it for gaming because the actuation force throws me off too much for the type of games that i play, and so it spends most of its time under a dust cover near my desk.

I have this basic bitch small k120 logitech keyboard, What would be a good keyboard to get?

[deleted] If you don't mind losing your numpad, I can recommend the AKKO JIN01 boards (see above) or MU01 boards. They are basically the same boards, but the MU01 variants have a wooden case instead of metal. Their YU01 also looks promising and has a more neutral look, but it comes with different switches that I haven't tried.

I haven't found a full-size mechanical keyboard in an affordable price range with a sound profile and design for me yet, so if I need a numpad I still use the logitech mx keys that I posted about before.

spaceman If I'm real I'd love something with quiet keys, I type a lot, so having them be silent, especially when I stay up late, would be amazing.

I use the new IBM Model M (now made by unicomp), I like the weight and of course need the numberpad. I changed out my caps lock for another ctrl key as I never have needed to use caps lock in my life.
