Switches

can just be placed atop/against objects or fitted so that the base is flush with a surface

Similarly to what Six said above, you'll also be able to paint the moving part of the switch independently of the base

I have some other switch & button designs such as rocker switches and levers currently in the works

have a button screencap as well before i finish up for the night
