All users have the ability to upload files on the forum under certain conditions.
Supported file types
For images : PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP, AVIF
For videos : MP4
For files : BRS, BP
Size limitations
For images :
Certified Users: 60MB
Regular Users: 20MB
For videos :
Certified Users: 20MB
Regular Users: 7MB
For files :
Certified Users: 60MB
Regular Users: 25MB
Quotas
There is no limits on the amount of videos/images uploaded, however BRS and BP files are subject to a limit per user (a quota).
You can find out where you currently stand with this limit by opening the media manager and clicking on "My media", you will find this information to the right of the "Media Manager" title:
Moderation
Members of the "Certified users" group can upload images/videos without the moderation steps below.
When a standard user upload an image/video, it is automatically remplaced by the following image/video :
It's normal, the media is currently being moderated (which generally takes less than 6 hours).
You can insert it in your comments/discussions, it will be automatically replaced with the original media if approved by the moderation team, and you will receive a notification in the forum informing you of this decision.If the media is rejected it will be automatically deleted and you will also receive a notification in the forum informing you of this.
Upload a file
When you post a comment or discussion, click on the following icon:
The window that appears is called "Media Manager" :
In "Shared Media" you will find all the resources shared with all forum users by the moderation team. You can use the elements but cannot delete them.
In "My Media" you will find all the files you have previously uploaded and can reuse.
Note : If you delete a file/image in your "Media Manager", it will also be deleted from all comments/discussions where you have used it.
Click on "Upload" at the top right of the screen to upload a file/image, you can select several at the same time :
Once the file(s) is/are uploaded it is automatically selected, you just have to click on "Select file"/"Select files".
The window will disappear and will then display something like this above in your discussion/comment editor at the cursor position :
This string is the link to the media file that will automatically be displayed in your discussion/comment when posted.
